Thermostat Housing Adapter

Due to the larger diameters of the thermostat openings on early FE intakes, it can be necessary to find rare housings that accommodate the larger stats. Our housing adaptor allows the use of a 2.12” high flow stat so commonly found thermostat housings can be used. The O-ring seal at the intake allows for intake removal/replacement without destroying the housing gasket. Adapter AD-002 includes a 3/8” FPT threaded hole for use as a fill vent or temperature sensing port for a gage or fuel injection sensor.

Included with the billet aluminum adapter is the O-ring, two AMK B-12444 SEMS bolts and a 3/8” MPT x 5/8” male hose 45 degree brass water pump elbow. (Always verify proper bolt length for your intake and upper hose fit at radiator and trim as necessary).
